Just wanted to share the good news that I have finally finished my book. The book was published on Blurb, a self-publishing site. I was very impressed with how easy the site is to use. Also, I thought the paper and color quality of the book was excellent. I have posted the link here if you wanted a sneak peek. The book took 9 months to finish in my spare time. I tried to work on it in between jobs for clients. There is a total of 34 illustrations including the cover. Yes, I know that far exceeds what would be the norm for a children's book but it just took on a life of it's own. My future endeavors will not be as abundant with illustrations or text. AuthorFACT: I have been drawing since I was little. I think my mother said when I was born I came out with a package of Crayola crayons. From then on it's pretty much history. I was drawing princesses on the cellar wall going down the stairs (the walls were white it looked like a blank sheet of paper to me!). Of course, my mother found out and made me wash the wall immediately! I think I was five. My sister had wall duty too, when she drew horses my mother knew it was her.
